Internet Provider Comparisons

There are over 4,000 internet service providers (ISPs) in the United States, offering a variety of plans and services. The largest ISPs in the country are Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, and Time Warner Cable. These companies offer both residential and business services, and many have nationwide coverage.

There are also many regional and local ISPs that provide service to specific areas of the country. So, with so many choices on offer - both big and small - what makes Cox Communications so special? Here at HomeLinkd, we're dying to review Cox's internet service and plans so that you don't have to waste time or money doing so. Let's dive in!

What services does Cox provide?

Cox internet service provides a variety of services, including cable TV, internet, and phone service. They also offer a variety of bundles that include all three services.

Cox is one of the largest providers of these services in the United States. With over 6.3 million subscribers, it is the third largest cable company in the United States, behind only Comcast and Charter. Cox internet is a reliable and affordable option for both home and business users. With high-speed internet of up to 1000 Mbps, it is perfect for streaming video, gaming, and downloading large files. Cox also offers a variety of email, web hosting, and other business services.

What does Cox Communications offer, you might ask? Well, unfortunately fiber-optic internet is not on that list as yet. It does not currently offer fiber internet service in any markets. However, the company has been testing fiber service in select areas and may offer it in the future. The internet provider also doesn't offer 5G as yet, however, with speeds up to 1 gigabit, you'll receive 5G-fast speeds without the cost. Fast and reliable!

Is Cox available near me?

Yes, Cox is available in many locations across the United States. Cox is available in 19 states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Ohio, Rhode Island and Virginia. Cox is also available in rural areas, including farmlands and mountainous areas in the mid-West. Because Cox offers cable internet, it is more reliable for homes in rural areas than wireless.

How do Cox internet prices compare to CenturyLink, Spectrum, and Xfinity?

Cox offers several different internet plans, with prices that vary depending on the speed and data allowance. The most basic plan starts at $49.99 per month for 100 Mbps download speeds and 1 TB of data.

The highest-priced plan is $99.99 per month for 1 Gbps speeds and 2 TB of data. In comparison, CenturyLink's cheapest internet plan is $49 per month for 100 Mbps speeds and 1 TB of data, while its most expensive plan is $85 per month for 940 Mbps speeds and unlimited data. Spectrum's prices start at $49.99 per month for 100 Mbps speeds and unlimited data, while Xfinity's prices start at $30 per month for 25 Mbps speeds and 1 TB of data.

How does Cox rank on customer support and satisfaction?

Cox is pretty good when it comes to customer satisfaction. They rank high on both, meaning that they generally provide good service and have happy customers. This is definitely a company you can trust! Cox ranks highly among customer support rankings. In J.D. Power's 2017 Residential Television Service Provider Satisfaction Study, Cox was ranked 2nd out of 13 providers. In the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Cox received a score of 77 out of 100, which placed it 4th out of 14 providers.

Compared to Xfinity? Cox ranks highly in customer satisfaction compared to Xfinity, according to a recent study. In the study, customers were asked to rate their satisfaction with their current provider's customer support. Cox was rated 8.4 out of 10, while Xfinity was rated 8.1.

Compared to Verizon? Cox ranks ahead of Verizon, according to a recent study. The study found that Cox had the highest satisfaction rating when it came to client support, while Verizon was rated lower.

Compared to Spectrum? Cox customer support is generally considered to be good, with a rating of 4 out of 5 compared to Spectrum's 3 out of 5. However, some customers have complained about long wait times and difficulty getting in touch with a human representative instead of automated responses.

Compared to AT&T? Cox customer support is rated lower than AT&T's according to most surveys. This may be due to the fact that Cox is a smaller company and does not have the same level of resources as AT&T.
